CN Symington Yard Power Upgrades
Partnered with a high voltage contractor to plan and perform upgrades and repairs to the 24kV electrical power distribution system at Canada’s largest rail classification yard. After an intensive three month program, the reliability of the system was substantially improved with a record low number of outages for following winter. A multi-year program is planned for the continued improvement of the 50 year old yard.
CN Symington Hump Yard Standby Power Generators
Installed multiple standby diesel generators to maintain operational security of the yard. Carefully integrated them into the existing power infrastructure. Sizes range from 100kW to 750kW at 480V and 600V.
